This evening we made playdough balloons. Garland loved touching them, squishing them and picking all 4 up to carry around. She also carried them individually which is great for building strength in both fine and gross motor skills.
I used the small size playdough, as soon as the playdough comes out, still in a cylinder shape, stretch top of the balloon and put over the top of the playdough and then just shove it into the balloon. It can be a bit messy but the pieces that fall out, just put them back in. then tie up the balloons and let your chid have at them:)
Also wanted to add that these are great for learning colors as well as counting!
